Lanzarote enjoys temperatures averaging 25oC during August, and 17oC in January. The average sea temperature all year round is 20oC.
The climate is regulated by the sea current of the Gulf of Mexico. This influence reduces the heat somewhat - otherwise it would be as hot as the Sahara.
Because it only rains for a few days of the year, yielding around 115mm of rainfall, water is obtained by desalination (of sea water).
So, is it hot on Lanzarote?
