A 10 minute walk from the villa will take you to the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, which also has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants, from here a beautiful promenade stretches a mile and a half in each direction from the lighthouse (Faro) at the most southern tip of the island to the fabulous new Marina Rubicon which boasts a selection of designer shops and upmarket bars and restaurants, there is also a 10 pin bowling alley here.
There are a wide selection of water sports at the Playa Doroda beach near the centre of Playa Blanca and in the main village you will find a large pedestrianised shopping area which also has plenty of bars and restaurants to suit every taste. A ferry to Furteventura can be taken from Punta Limones at regular intervals throughout the day (20 minutes journey), there are also various boat excursions available here. A market operates twice weekly Wed and Sat in Playa Blanca.
