Lanzrote has two 18 hole golf courses, Lanzarote Golf on the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise Golf, both with stunning views.
Playing golf on Lanzarote can be a dream come true for many golfers who prefer the sub – tropical climate to the European weather.
Costa Teguise’s golf course is located to the foot of an old volcano, which lends it quite impressive views of the Atlantic Ocean. The course consists of eighteen holes, which were designed by Briton John Harris.
The course, built in 1978, is not only beautifully designed, but also favoured by the climate which makes it a year-round course. It is a 72 par course which ranges from 4938 to 6041 metres at its longest.
The fairway and holes pass between volcanic lava, cacti and three thousand palm trees and local plants such as the Canary Island date Palm giving you an inspirational landscape to enjoy your game. the course stimulates players being designed both smooth and varied and respects the challenge sought by professional players while still remaining an enjoyable course for the more junior player.
Puerto del Carmen Golf course opened in 2009, and offers 18 holes, with bar and club house. Par 72 with four par 3’s, four par 5’s and ten par 4 and 6133 m long.
